UPSC CAPF AC Exam Overview

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducts the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) Assistant Commandant (AC) examination annually to recruit Group A officers (Assistant Commandants) in various paramilitary forces of India. CAPF AC Selection Process

The selection of candidates for the Assistant Commandant post is done through the following stages:

• Stage 1: Written Examination - Consists of Paper 1 (Objective) and Paper 2 (Descriptive).
• Stage 2: Physical Standards and Physical Efficiency Test (PET) - Candidates who qualify the written exam must meet physical standards (height, chest, weight) and pass PET (race, long jump, shot put).
• Stage 3: Interview/Personality Test - Candidates who clear PET are called for a Personal Interview (150 marks).
