SSC CHSL Eligibility Criteria 2026 (Expected)
1. Nationality / Citizenship
A candidate must be either a citizen of India, a subject of Nepal, a subject of Bhutan, or a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries, etc., with the intention of permanently settling in India.
2. Educational Qualification
- For LDC/JSA and DEO/DEO Grade 'A' (except specific ministries): Candidates must have passed the 12th Standard or equivalent examination from a recognized Board or University.
- For DEO/DEO Grade 'A' in Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution, Ministry of Culture, and SSC: 12th Standard pass in Science stream with Mathematics as a subject from a recognized Board or equivalent.
3. Age Limit

SSC CHSL Pay Scale & Salary Structure

SSC CHSL Exam Pattern (Tier 2)
The SSC CHSL Tier 2 is the merit-deciding exam. It consists of Objective Multiple Choice Questions (Session-I) and a Skill Test / Typing Test (Session-II).

SSC CHSL Selection Process 2026
The selection of candidates for CHSL posts is done through the following stages:
- Stage 1: Tier 1 (Computer Based Exam) - Objective type MCQs. Qualifying in nature.
- Stage 2: Tier 2 (Computer Based Exam) - Includes Objective MCQs (Session-I) and Skill Test/Typing Test (Session-II). Merit is prepared based on aggregate marks scored in Section-I & Section-II of Tier-II, subject to qualifying Section-III & Section-IV.
