1. Educational Qualification

• Certificate as Registered Nurse and Midwife having passed a 3 years course in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) from a school of Nursing or other institution recognised by the Indian Nursing Council, OR
• B.Sc Nursing from a recognised institute/university.
• Candidates who obtained the above qualification under Indian Nursing Council concessions for Auxiliary Nurse Midwives, Midwives and B grade Nurses (reduced course period, etc.) are also eligible.

2. Age Limit (as on 01.01.2027)

Additional relaxation applies to Ex-Servicemen (3/6/8 years), PwBD (10/13/15 years), serving Railway staff and widowed/divorced female candidates, as per Para 5.2 of the CEN. 3. Medical Standard

Nursing Superintendent requires medical standard C-1: physically fit in all respects, distant vision 6/12, 6/18 with or without glasses and near vision Sn. 0.6, 0.6 with or without glasses where reading or close work is required.
