Preparation Strategy for RRB NTPC Graduate Level

  • Give General Awareness Extra Time: It carries 40 of 100 marks in the 1st Stage CBT and 50 of 120 in the 2nd Stage CBT, so steady daily revision of static GK and current affairs pays off.
  • Build Mathematics Speed: Practise percentage, profit and loss, time and work, time and distance, interest and mensuration without a calculator, since calculators are banned.
  • Practise Reasoning Daily: Cover series, coding-decoding, syllogism, Venn diagrams and puzzles under a timer.
  • Use the 1/3 Negative Marking Wisely: Skip questions where you cannot eliminate at least one or two options.
  • Prepare for Both CBTs: The 2nd Stage CBT is longer (120 questions) but has the same 90-minute limit, so work on stamina and time management.
  • Take Regular Mocks: Attempt full 90-minute mocks, analyse mistakes and track section-wise accuracy.
