Preparation Strategy for DSSSB Personal Assistant & Senior PA

  • Prioritise English: General English carries 50 of 90 Tier-I marks and the whole of Tier-II, so daily reading, grammar and vocabulary practice gives the biggest return.
  • Start Shorthand and Typing Early: Skill test is qualifying, but failing it ends your candidature. Build to 110 wpm (Senior PA) or 100 wpm (PA) shorthand and 40 wpm typing, and practise transcription within 40 minutes.
  • Mind the Negative Marking: With 0.25 marks lost per wrong answer, attempt only questions where you can eliminate at least two options.
  • Practise Essays: Write 250-word essays under timed conditions and have them reviewed for structure and grammar.
  • Stay Current: Revise the last 6 months of current affairs and make short notes on Delhi-related news.
  • Take Regular Mocks: Attempt full 90-minute mocks, analyse mistakes and track section-wise accuracy.
